ABOUT QUINTA DO LAGO
Quinta Do Lago is a large resort in the Algarve region of Portugal. It has plenty of hotels, villas, restaurants, bars, golf courses, shops and more!
FLIGHTS
The closest airport to Quinta Do Lago is Faro. (approx 15-20 min car journey)
You can get return flights from all major UK airports.
ACCOMODATION
The villas are pretty impressive and ideal for larger groups! It is also the most cost effective accommodation. We've found the best sites to use are either Airbnb or Vrbo.
The Magnolia hotel is a the most reasonably priced hotel in the resort, however we've still found it to be more expensive than serviced accommodation and is a short taxi journey to the wedding venue.
Another great option is self catered apartments. Booking.com is usually the best place to source these.
If you would like to be within walking distance to everything going on, then we'd recommend looking for something in the below radius surrounding the lake.
If taxis or getting a hire car doesn't bother you, then you also have the option of not staying in Quinta Do Lago. There are plenty of surrounding towns with a range of accommodation available.

DRESS CODE & ATTIRE GUIDANCE
Smart casual, summer suitable (e.g., linen suits, light material dresses, wedges/smart sandals). Heels may be tricky in sand for the Ceremony, however the rest of the day will be in the restaurant. You can take your heels off for the Ceremony if you wish!
Weather - Although it's in October, it's expected to be between 23 and 28 degrees. Light, breathable fabrics are best.
Colours to Avoid: Please can we ask that you avoid orange in your outfit choice.
GETTING AROUND
Uber & Bolt are really quick and cheap if you require taxi's, so we recommend downloading the apps in advance if you don't already have them
WEDDING GIFTS
We appreciate that flying to Portugal for our wedding is costly, so please don't feel obliged to give us a wedding gift. You making the effort to be there is enough. However, if it is something you want to do, we would appreciate money towards our honeymoon.

THE ITINERARY
We wanted to make the most of having everyone together and the incredible resort, so we will be organising a welcome party on the Wednesday before the wedding day. This is obviously completely optional and people are welcome to just attend the wedding if they wish!
